Hong Kong RFID incorporates EAS systems into the total solution service scope

What is EAS?
EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) is an anti-thefting technology widely applied in the retail industry. When attached with EAS tags, merchandises removed from a retail site is immediately detected. If the merchandise is carried past the EAS without being authorized, alarms will be triggered.
EAS systems comprises of three main components, namely EAS tags, EAS sensors and EAS detachers. EAS tags are to be attached to merchandises. Different types of tags are used for products of different sizes and materials. EAS detachers are used to detach or deactivate EAS tags when items are purchased. EAS sensors are to be placed at the doorways of the retail site to detect any unauthorized removal of items from the retail site.
